Our bodies have a variety of “systems”. We have a cardiovascular system, a digestive system, a musculoskeletal system, a respiratory system, an endocannibanoid system, a nervous system, an immune system, and so on. All of these systems play a vital role in our health and our immune system is there to defend us from outside viral and bacterial predators. It is quite fascinating how it knows exactly how to fight off the invaders! We do so many things to ourselves on a daily basis that weaken, instead of support the immune system.
As a business owner, there have been several days during my career that I could not call in sick because if I did, I would have had to close the store. In those moments I realized how important (especially when your livelihood depends on it!) it is to keep your immune system in top shape. As well as taking a lot of immune boosting supplements, I started to make sure to add some daily lifestyle practices.
