What is Tahini?
Tahini, or sesame seed paste, is a staple of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking. It's perhaps most notable for its essential role in making hummus, although its uses go far beyond that iconic dip.  The thick paste is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and minerals, making this superfood not only heart-healthy, it also delivers a myriad of benefits for the mind, body, and soul.

Tahini is the key ingredient in two of our favorite recipes, zucchini hummus (or zummus as I like to call it) and goddess dressing.   At World of Nutrition, we carry the Once Again brand of Organic, unsweetened and salt free tahini, or if you find yourself with some extra time, make your own tahini!

Natural Antibiotics
Prescription antibiotics wreak havoc on and devastate the balance of bacteria in your gut, which has a detrimental effect on your physical and mental health. There are many powerful natural antibiotics you can use to treat infection, illness and disease that help to boost immune health, not destroy it.

Give this sinus formula a try this winter!

Women's Health WON "0" WON
From heavy or irregular periods, to urinary tract infections and yeast infections, to sex drive and fertility, the female body can be complicated.  Many women walk away from the doctor’s office frustrated and exhausted with unanswered questions, symptoms that are easily dismissed, infections that keep returning, and prescriptions that often do more harm than good.

Did you know that there are nutritional supplements, herbs, probiotics, and enzymes that can effectively address yeast infections, urinary tract infections, irregularities within the menstrual cycle, fibroids, breast health, and bone health?

Try these remedies for Candida or Yeast Infections:
  • Change your diet (avoid sugar, carbohydrates and alcohol as these tend to feed candida.
  • Top salads with Coconut Oil (contains auric acid) and Apple Cider Vinegar (contains caprylic acid) as these can be used topically and internally to kill candida
  • Try an herbal supplement (Oregano, Goldenseal, Garlic, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Olive Leaf and Pau D'Arco).  These can be used in your cooking, in tea, or you can find them in capsules and tinctures.
